ALL GOOD THINGS MUST END                                                                         Or at least evolve. Participant had a screaming run, but the next leg is upon us. And we’ll be racing toward the windward mark on a bigger and even faster ride.  So, it's time to say goodbye to our baby. Participant is a 1990 Olson 911se,  designed by Carl Schumacher  and built by Ericson Yachts. She’s one of the very last 911’s built. Participant Bests the Legendary Sled, Merlin (Very Short Video)          Merlin’s prod actually crosses the finish line first, but it’s the hull that counts (per the RRS). Out of fairness, the Bill Lee-designed ULDB started the LAYC Pursuit race about an hour behind us and was traveling twice our speed at the end, but hey, a win's a win.
